I was born in Lima, Peru and raised in Queens, New York. I am a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist who works with a variety of mediums including collage, mixed media, installation, photography, and writing. My work predominantly grapples with themes of memory, intimacy, and loss. Through these themes, I further explore migration, history, trauma, affect, and the private/public dimensions of life. Whether in material or intention, I attempt to create work that is saturated with intimate, emotional linkages, as a point of entry into personal and political forms of engagement.
